Definitive Jux

There was a moment when I thought to myself - "DEFJUX just called me...I gotta call my brother and tell him!" For those of you whom are not familiar with the legendary Definitive Jux Records, they are one the most influential hip hop labels of our time. They pioneered a brand of hip hop that transcends the decades since they incepted in 1999. It all started in 2006 with a simple website forum. I had posted some advice about how to configure some e-commerce options for a guy name Jason Drake. He later called me on the phone and explained that he helps run a record label ecommerce website called definitivejux.net. I was all too aware. They were literally my favorite indie hip hop label. I had a slew of their music in my CD collection. After several talks, he asked if I could help design some UX (user experience) improvements. This led to some discovery then some wireframes. After talking with El-P and Amaechi, they asked if I could prepare a complete redesign and development of their website. The rest is history.
