We pride ourselves on being able to translate a phyical catalog to a living digital experience with details right down to the pixel.
Inventory is synchronized from our website to our distribution website and vice versa. Its really quite beautiful, just ask Cooper.
Transparent images were used on the main product detail pages to give the product that extra pop. This also increased the data size of each photo. We wound up utilizing an amazing lossless compressor called TinyPNG by way of API. The results were amazing!
We built a custom AJAX product manager to help site admins quickly find and update product from our massive catalog of SKUs.
We had a challenge with the information architecture and user experience of finding a product by a customer and at the same time our retail buyers who only know the product by catalog season. We took particular care to render a menu that worked especially for mobile devices to ensure ease of use.
Nick did a great job integrating a new AJAX search of our ever expanding catalog.
Every 2 seasons Coal produces a new lookbook showcasing the new product line. We developed a way for site admins to construct a completely custom visual experience combining both photos and videos.
Leveraging HTML5 and Javascript, the stockist locator will automatically zoom the map in on the customers location and display a list of nearby shops that carry Coal headwear.
Limited edition products and collaborations needed a unique way of story telling and product selling. We created a modular system that would allow admins to easily create content blocks that would highlight the project.
Slideshow banners are nothing new, but most slideshow banners only scale the image or crop to the center of an image when viewed on a mobile device. We developed a way for site admins to create the exact crop of a slideshow banner specially designed for mobile devices.
Oh yeah, we do that too.
We are fortunate to be able to live here in Portland, Oregon and work everyday with amazing clients like Coal. We use internet tools like Skype, Basecamp, Slack, email, and cell phones to communicate effectively and keep the vibes awesome even though we are not in the same office. #fineliving
See ya on the mountain!
